Over the years, sixteen to be precise, Peter has concentrated on real ales and good affordable wines sold by the glass. There are five reds, five whites and a French Rose which is now sold all the year round. One of the whites is the delicious English Sharpham Reserve, grown on the banks of the River Dart. Indeed visit us and you can also go round the vineyard or cruise past it on a trip up the River Dart.

On the real ale side we still have Bass, Peter's tipple in his youth and a more recent addition, Otter, from the Otter brewery in Devon. Wadsworth 6X & Flowers IPA are the other ales available. On the cider side there is a fantastic cloudy one from Somerset, Addlestones, which tastes of apples. A new addition is Aspall, an organic clear cider from Suffolk.

Soft drinks play an increasingly important part and not just for the children. To this end we have Luscombe's lovely spicy organic ginger beer as well as their apple juice and we also run a range of soft drinks from mandarin & guava to pineapple juice.

There is very much a nautical theme around the bar from charts detailing Peter's sailing trips, to old logs, one from British Steel, brass portholes, huge wooden blocks, press cuttings, pictures of boats and flags. This is continued in the Mess Deck where the ceiling is covered in charts, something to look at while waiting for your food.
